HESE - Higher Education South East

Higher Education South East was created as a company in 1999 to promote all higher education institutions in the South East region of England. This Web site utilizes an Access database produced by HESE to allow any individual access to the wealth of information stored about each institute.

Role

The designers at Oak Tree Media produced the design and layout onto layered Macromedia Fireworks files. My role was to build the Web site using slices from these files and the text provided by the client.

An update to the site in June 2003, allows HESE and each individual institute to log into a purpose designed administration area to update the data stored in the database. Thus, reducing the time usually associated with gathering all the information and updating the database file.

Macromedia Fireworks 4.0 - for image creation and editing
Microsoft Access - for database creation
Microsoft Excel - for transfer of data provided by the client to the new database
